OWi has a new webpage and collaboration concept. It is still fresh and a lot is left to do. But have a look. I made GIFs to illustrate the Mission Statement using the pictures from the old Lego Spot (scroll down). The GIFs are also below with some quotes from the mission statement. For the full mission statement visit the OWi page. And consider to become a part of the project ;-)

Hey, OWi hat eine neue Website und ein neues Zusammenarbeitskonzept. Alles ist noch neu und unfertig aber schon anzusehen. Für das Mission-Statement habe ich animierte GIFs aus dem Material des alten Lego-Spots gemacht. Die GIFS sind unten reinkopiert und auch ein paar Auszüge aus dem Mission-Statement. Die vollständige deutsche Version gibt es auf der OWi Seite. Besucht sie und werdet ein Teil des Projektes ;-)

Regenerative Design is also known as cradle to cradle design or ecoeffective design. /**/ Regeneratives Design ist auch bekannt als Cradle to Cradle Design oder Ökoeffektives Design.

It means that recycling is no afterthought. Things are designed from the beginning in a way, that they can be 100% recycled. /**/ Es bedeutet, dass das spätere Recycling von vornherein in die Produkte hineingestaltet wird: Alles kann später vollständig wiedergewonnen werden.

You chose only materials and use them in a way, that recycling is possible and doable. All ressources stay in closed material cycles. We have zero waste. /**/ Die Ressourcen und Materialien gehen nicht verloren, sondern bleiben in geschlossenen Kreisläufen. Müll gibt es nicht mehr.

To make this possible new ways for collaboration, communication and the organisation of production are needed/need to be developed. Open Source is promising for this. /**/ Damit das möglich wird, brauchen wir neue Wege für Zusammenarbeit und Kommunikation. Open Source bietet dafür die richtigen und interessante Ansätze.

Open Source means to make recipes, building plans and other design files public and allow others to copy them, study them, modify them and use them for their own production processes. This enables collaboration and innovation patterns fit for regenerative design on a large scale. /**/ Open Source heißt, dass man die Baupläne von Produkten veröffentlicht. Jeder kann sie studieren und befolgen. Damit entstehen eine Vielzahl von Impulsen und Möglichkeiten für die Erfindung und Verbreitung von regenerativem Design bzw. der Zusammenarbeit daran.

Regenerative Design for many products will work only as Open Regenerative Design. /**/ Regeneratives Design in großem Maßstab kann nur als Open Source Regeneratives Design funktionieren.

OWi works on this, developes and supports projects, collects and generates content and works on pushing the open source hardware movement forward. Become a part & help. /**/ OWi arbeitet daran, entwickelt und unterstützt Projekte, sammelt und generiert Online-Inhalte und unterstützt die Open Source Hardware Bewegung. Das Projekt ist offen. Werdet ein Teil davon.
